Hello, My name is Allison
I created this site to inspire others to combat textile waste through creative reuse and re-creation, usually through eco-friendly sewing projects!

I'm self-taught sewist who has always loved designing, creating, and learning. I wouldn't call myself "fashionista"; my style is comfy + classic silhouettes and I prefer dresses over pants any day of the week! My goal aesthetic is somewhere between Maximalist Art Professor and Rainbow Cottagecore. I enjoy hunting for treasures (fabric or vintage) in thrift shops and estate sales. I love solving creative riddles and working on anything joyful!

In 2017, I became passionate about reducing my impact on the environment and finding ways to help others learn and do the same. Determined, I've been sewing to divert unloved materials from landfills ever since!

In January 2021, I set a goal of diverting 10 lbs of materials, mostly textiles from the waste stream. By the end of March, I achieved it! I'll continue tracking this as a quantifiable way to show how I am helping my community.
